I can't install the new .NET framework 4 so is it possible to skip the update or is it mandatory?

There is a serious slowdown in windows XP boot. That bug happens in Windows XP - SP3 only.
Some guy fixed that though.
anyway,all ppl must dl latest netframework,unless it is already installed.
1.Download and Install netFrameWork 4 Full from here(recommended):

Restart system
2.Go to microsoft update and DL the security patch for netFrameWork 4(if it appears, available on your system).

If you are vista/windows 7 user skip the next one.
3.Users on Windows XP-SP3 only have that slow start up because of netFrameWork 4.To solve this annoying problem, download and install this patch here:

Unzip the file, run the exe and wait for the process to finish.
After you restart, the boot time will be normal again.
I have not noticed any other problems with the update so far.
Are you going to add tournament features later?
If that spectate option is added to all games, supercade should become GGPO Plus.

It does. Click again on the attachment in his windowslive channel. If it still does not download. wait a few min. Propably bandwith issues.

hello
i can't watch the replays since the update. when i click on one of them the following message appears:
".NET 4 and Internet Explorer or FireFox 3 with the Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant add-on required."
i am on firefox and windows xp. i installed the link given for the update (microsoft common language runtime 4.0.30319.0). it makes the game work, but i think that's what block the replays, but i could be wrong since i'm new here (three days actually).

it worked fine before this patch, now i get error that 'my ports are blocked' and cant i host a game
the specific port is 27886 tcp/udp.

It's not an error, it's a notification. Whenever there's a new version, windows firewall will automatically block it the first time it's run. If you reconnect or click the warning icon in the upper right after you tell windows to allow the software, it should be fine.

my windows firewall is off man, i tried restart, turning off kaspersky and nothing helped.
